Ventspils University of Applied Sciences
Ventspils University College (VeA) has had the status of a scientific institution since May 20, 2013. It is registered in the register of scientific institutions, which confirms that the university has fulfilled the criteria set by the state for a scientific institution, including that at least half of the academic staff has a doctoral degree, the university publishes scientific articles, and has scientific infrastructure at its disposal. The university operates the Faculty of Economics and Management, Translation Studies, and Information Technology, offering 15 first-level professional higher education, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral study programs. Approximately 800 students study at the university. The Institute of Engineering Sciences of Ventspils University College “Ventspils International Radio Astronomy Center” (hereinafter – VSRC), which specializes in radio astronomy, is represented in the VeA project.
